I’ve been thinking of doing reviews for a while, so I thought I’d give it a shot! Here’s a few things to consider before submitting your story:
I will only do not very popular or unknown stories. Don’t submit your story if it’s got 100,000,000 views
I am a very honest and upfront person. If you want me to bathe your story with fake compliments and tell you you did “such an amazing job” because you “worked so hard and are so special and beautiful”, then go someplace else. I want to give you honest reviews, with actual constructive criticism in order for you to grow as an author.
I will be reading at least 3 episodes of your story. If you want me to read more please send me a DM or a message in this thread, but that means your story review will take longer.
I will review any genre and any animation style.
I usually review grammar, dialogue, plot, continuity, spacing, characters, direction and choices. If you would like me to review something else (like cover art, art scenes, etc) or don’t want me to review a specific thing, please let me know.
I will publish your review either here, or just send you a dm. Please let me know which you prefer (I will send you the review through PM initially, and then ask you if you’d like me to make it public. It’s up to you).

Title: Mystery on Hanging Hill Lane Author: Marshmallow O. Genre: Mystery, Romance, Comedy Style: Limelight CC : Yes, and really good, might I add. While I personally don’t like customizing every single character, this isn’t a bad thing to have in a story. This story is one those few gems where the customization you give to your character actually affect how the rest of her family looks like, which I appreciated a lot. (10/10). Grammar : No errors, not much to say here other than good job!. (10/10) Dialogue : Very realistic (I think, going off my very limited knowledge of what U.S kids talk like). Sometimes funny, sometimes serious, sometimes really powerful. (10/10) Plot : I will admit, the plot is a bit of a cliche. We’ve seen the “trapped teens” scenario a lot. However, I do hope you’re able to twist this cliche around in upcoming chapters. My screenwriting teacher once told me “every story has already been told, the difference is how you decide to tell it.” (9/10) Continuity : No errors. (10/10) Pacing : Really good! It’s hard to make a story move along when it mainly only settles on one location, but (through ways I cannot explain here because it would spoil the story) you still managed to keep it moving and make the reader feel like every second counts, and every action progresses the story. Characters: I won’t say anything about character development, since there’s not really much of that in the beginning of any story. Most of the characters are likeable, but I do hope you can do something to change the “mean girl” cliche. When I first saw her come up, I won’t lie, I cringed hard. Not because she’s mean, but because she feels like the same character we’ve seen over and over again.
I like what you did with the MC’s crush; give him an actual personality. That’s sometjing most episode stories seem to skim by. He actually became one of my favorite characters simply because he seemed human. Not to say the others don’t, it’s just because this usually isn’t the case with episode stories.
I also liked what you did with the “bAD Boi”. When the MC talked about how he had to do stuff for his girlfriend and he shut down her bullshit, I felt that. It’s good to see he isn’t just the “bad boy there so the MC falls in love with him and has to fight the mean girl for his attention.” He’s his own person. And just because he’s a “bAd BoI” doesn’t mean he’s a jackass. (9/10) Direction : Amazing. Simply amazing. The scene walking around the MC’s house? Das good, man. Das realgood 10/10 Choices : There was a large variety of choices. However, I couldn’t help but feel like the choices were basically the same, only with different words. Like choice 1 would be “let’s go” and the other would be “It’s-a me! Mario! Let’s-a go!” Same outcome (going somewhere) but with a different dialogue. I also found that the choices were only dialogue-based. I’m not sure if the dialogue affected character points but, if they did, it would be good to know. I would love to see some action-based choices in the future. (8/10)

I couldn’t recommend this story even more. If you like a good mystery, or simply to see some bomb-ass directing, def check this one out!
