How long does it take to review a back ground before I can use it?

You can use it right away. You just can’t publish til it gets approved and that can take 2-5 days, dormimos more depending on various factors
How shocked was I when last week I uploaded a few backgrounds/overlays twice and not even waited 1 hour for an approval

I tired to use it and it put a big red X on it. What am I doing wrong?
Take a screenshots and show us so we can see what’s wrong

Don’t worry about it. You can still save it and preview it. It’s just warning you that you can’t publish it
