let me rephrase this. the media is covering it only because people are making a big deal out of it. but if you follow any weather/satellite pages you would’ve known about it.
but it upsets me that so many people preach about climate change and other important things but they don’t actually do anything about it besides promote it.
I think it’s good to spread awareness, but it would be better to do something against the fire instead. Just spreading information won’t stop the forest from burning down. 
Hopefully there are people who will stand up and do something about it.

Spreading the word about it is a start. It has to start somewhere.

that’s true. people are too caught up in celebrities, money and other crap to give a damn that our world is literally dying and it’s all our fault
Yea, I know. I wish there was something I could do about it, but there isn’t really anything I can do other than spread the word.
There’s always something that can be done, you can stop buying from fast foods for example, stop buying clothes from fast fashion and buy second hand clothes, stop plastic as much as you can… and those are only examples.
it’s not like I can go to the amazon and stop the people cutting down trees, or put out the fire, or plant billions of trees again.
i think if they continue to cut down trees, they should plant at LEAST 5 trees for every 1 they cut down.
But then they wouldn’t profit from it, so they won’t do it, because our world is too obsessed with money…
idk about the rest of the world, but i know that the UK and in some parts here in Hawaii, McDonalds and Kfc and other fast foods are using biodegradable paper straws so that if they are thrown in the trash or somehow find their way to the ocean, they won’t harm anything
Won’t they do something about it? 
It’s not about the use of straws but about the actual pollution caused by these kind of businesses. They will still hurt the earth with or without straws.
of course not, the leaders of the world (presidents, governments, royal families etc) are too obsessed with money and their countries’ success than the actual world
