School Pet Peeves?

No problem!
It depends on the school where you work… some schools require extremely detailed and specific lesson plans. The school where I work prefers that we keep them basic. Most teachers have a separate notebook for the actual details of what we’re going to do in class. So it doesn’t take me that long to do lesson plans anymore.
I love working with kids and teens. My favorite part about teaching is bonding with my students. We can be talking about reported speech one moment and discussing music next.
My favorite grades to teach are middle schoolers (here it’s 7th, 8th, and 9th). I don’t like elementary because of the toxic work environment, parents blaming every discipline problem on teachers, and the fact that schools want elementary kids to sit down in a desk all day and work, when they need to be active.
The things I don’t like about my job are long meetings, paperwork, and grading. Both physical and online school have advantages and disadvantages, but I prefer physical school. I hope we get to go back in August, but of course there are the negative naysayers that say we won’t. I hope not, because online school is so boring.
