So according to forbears, there are 64,157 people in the states with my name and it ranks 653 and 2,124 people in The Bahamas with my name and it ranks 37. That’s so interesting and apparently a bunch of them are in Abaco, I had no idea there were sawyers there :joy:

Sometimes I feel abit conflicted… my last name is my dad’s name. It’s still considered a surname right? Just that it is not a family name.

My culture doesn’t have family names for example Smith, Jones etc.

I had a guy at my highschool who had the same thing and it explained why his name was “different”.

He was named after his grandfather and his last name was his fathers name so he ended up being Muhammad Muhammad aha
