Hey, Ive tried to add the overlay SELFIE FEMALE 3 to my scene, it is meant to be a selfie for the boy she is going to be dating, i have her holding the phone, i have it written as ;
EXT. CITY GARDEN - DAY with SELFIE FEMALE 3

and all I’m getting is a blank screen when I’m previewing it using a different device
where am i going wrong

You have to spot direct him first. Try:
EXT. CITY GARDEN - DAY with SELFIE FEMALE 3
&HIM stands screen center
@HIM idle_happy_pose
You can try
EXT. CITY GARDEN - DAY with SELFIE FEMALE 3
@HIM stands screen center and HIM is idle_happy_pose

its saying its not a valid directing command, where have i gone wrong please ?

I think you should change it like this:

@cut to zone 2
&overlay SELFIE FEMALE 3 shifts to 267 -27 in zone 2
&overlay SELFIE FEMALE 3 scales to 0.830 0.830
&YOU stands screen center

I can’t believe I didn’t notice that😂. You have to change @OVERLAY with @overlay.
