so, i’ve always found myself not wanting to be in a romantic relationship with someone, unless we have a very strong emotional connection. i was thinking i am demisexual. but, when i do find myself having that strong emotional connection i found my self only being attached to men, and i am a girl. i’ve also seen that you can be bi and demisexual, and pan and demisexual. so i was wondering if you could be straight and be demisexual? i’m just trying to figure out my sexuality and i really don’t want to be offensive. so, if this question is offensive, i’m sorry i’m not meaning for it to be!

i don’t see why not. it seems demisexuality is more about how you experience your attraction and not who you’re attracted to :?

Definitely! Demisexual/demiromantic goes with another sexuality, so being straight and demi is possible!

I think so, like you like your same gender but you don’t have a strong s*xual connection to them. I’m asexual and straight (which I realized recently after research). And, I don’t think it’s offensive.
Also on a Instagram post by @/lgbtq.black.pride I found this which kinda help me figure out I was a straight asexual person though I have not come out to other people, yet it helped me figure out myself.

I think you mean demiromantic.
Demisexuality is only having sexual attraction for someone when you have an emotional bond with them.
What you are describing is romantic attraction, which is wanting to date etc.

Yes, from what you explained such as the desire to be in a romantic relationship after having a close emotional bond, I think you might be referring to demiromanticism and not demisexuality. Sexual and romantic attraction are often grouped together by people who are neither on the aromantic nor asexual spectrum, but they are not the same.

So I’m nonbinary and a lesbian which isn’t as common but I identified as lesbian first and only recently have identified as nonbinary. I’m only attracted to girls and female aligned people.
