Hey everybody! So I know lots of you guys are looking to improve your art, and practicing does help, but another thing you guys could do is step aside from the episode art for a moment (if that’s the kind of art you’re doing), and do studies of individual parts of the body (like eyes, lips, hair etc;). Look up a tutorial on how to do these features and practice them on your own. This will give you more room to understand how the body is shaded and instead of rushing through each part of the body in an edit (well, maybe not rushing, but giving less attention to details), you can pay more attention to the details of the feature and work on those more. That way, if or when you return to episode edits, you can apply those techniques to the edit and I assure you, you’ll see some drastic improvement. I hope this helps, and remember spend time working on details. I hope to see some of your studies on this art thread! Happy improving!
