I don’t think every story should have customizable characters? I mean well it’s nice sometimes but just not a necessity for me.

I rarely use CC when reading those stories anyway. So for me, it doesn’t bother me if the story doesn’t have CC.

I think if the author has envisioned the character as a certain way, or the way they look is important to the story, customization shouldn’t be in the story. If the look of a character doesn’t really impact the author or the story in any way, give the people customization!

It really depends. If the character is meant to be self-insert or not.

IMO the only stories that SHOULD have customization are YOU stories where you input your name and everything. Otherwise, I’m reading the story how the author envisioned the characters.

It doesn’t matter to me, most of the time I do end up customising when it’s offered, but if I find the characters especially beautiful I’ll keep them. If a story has multiple love interests I’ll keep them as is so I’m not biased, it’s impossible for me to customise two (or more) equally attractive love interests lmao.

I’d also rather have no CC at all than limited CC.

No. A story can be equally good with or without customization. It just matters.

As much as I like self-insertation, not necessarily.

If a story is well written, I don’t mind if there is little to no customization.
