I’ve read some stories that don’t have recaps of the last episode in them. This is bad for me because sometimes I forget what happens in the last episode. Should I add Recaps of the last episode in my story?

if you do please make them optinal, because I really hate when I sit there. I have just read the chapter before and now I have to read stuff I already know

I’d say yes (optional, as Line said), especially if:
- You go a while without updating (anything over about 3 weeks)
- Your story is dense and has important details
- There are small details in earlier episodes that are important to remember (eg. it’s episode 5 and there was something to remember in episode 2)

I feel recaps are only necessary if you haven’t updated in a while. When something juicy/important happened in earlier episodes and you want to bring it up in your latest chapters.
Other than that, they aren’t needed.

It’s really your choice, if you update a little slower, adding a recap option might be wise.
