Yes, CC and mods can/will slow down game play. Though, for me the way I prevent this is going full Maxis Match (MM) instead of Alpha. Alpha will most likely slow down game play and MM will still produce lag but not to Alpha’s extent. Since you’re like me and don’t want to delete CC/Mods, on YouTube I’ve seen videos on merging cc that reduces lag significantly if your interested in that. Although I’ve never personally tried it since I’m scared I could break my game. You probably wouldn’t break your game if you followed all the steps though.

I don’t do cc I’ve tried and it just doesn’t work out for me but I love me a good mod… I hold on to MCCC for dear life! My game is very laggy though sometimes

I just started playing the Sims 4 in December (because I asked for it for X-Mas) and the only expansion pack that I have is Get Famous. I will literally spend HOURS playing this damn game. I have an addiction and I’m totally fine with it.

Seasons is honestly amazing trust me it’s so fun, and then parenthood, then dine out. The vampires would be cool but I heard it gets annoying for some time.
