Skipping Spaces?

#1

On the forum and Instagram, I’ve been seeing different scripts. I wanted to know if people skip lines in their script like I do. I’m also on my second story rn so I don’t know if it would be easier.
I get the whole saving space thing, but doesn’t it get confusing?
And which way do you think is better?

@CHARACTER does something

@pause for a beat

CHARACTER (talk_think)
Bla Bla Bla…

@pause for a beat

CHARACTER (eyeroll)
Something else

or this

@CHARACTER does something
@pause for a beat
CHARACTER (talk_think)
Bla Bla Bla…
@pause for a beat
CHARACTER (eyeroll)
Something else

and I literally made an acc just to ask this

I don’t skip lines. Sometimes I might for scene changes or if I’ve got a huge choice branch, so I can find that spot later on. But most of the time it looks like one great big mess

I like to skip lines, it’s just easier for me to see.

I don’t skip lines, mainly because I personally feel that it looks messy/disorganized. I like my scripts nice and compact! To each their own, though. Do what works for you! :blush:

I completly agree!

Skipping is really keen when it helps you see!

I usually don’t. I like being able to see how long my script is, and if I were to skip I feel that I’d think it’s longer than it actually is.
