Slap animation and rolling instead of walking?

&KIKI walks to spot 0.566 131 397 AND KIKI starts slapface_give_angry
&NATE starts sigh_disappointed

&KIKI moves to layer 2
&NATE starts slapface_receive_angry
@pause for a beat

can someone tell me what I did wrong? I want Kiki to walk to Nate and slap him but instead she ‘rolls’ to her place and the animation works but it doesnt really show that she slaps him for some reason?

change your script to:

&KIKI walks to spot 0.566 131 397
&KIKI starts slapface_give_angry
&NATE starts sigh_disappointed

&KIKI moves to layer 2
&NATE starts slapface_receive_angry
@pause for a beat

when you make a character walk to a spot or place while making them do an action, the character will do the action while moving to the spot
so for case, you are making Kiki walk to the spot while making her do the animation “slapface_give_angry”

All of those commands are happening at the same time because you’re using the & sign

Change your script to this.

&NATE starts sigh_disappointed
@KIKI walks to spot 0.566 131 397 and KIKI moves to layer 2
@KIKI is slapface_give_angry and NATE is slapface_receive_angry
