Slapping issue with characters

Hello, I have a question, whenever I slap someone it doesn’t really work correctly it goes behind them not to their face? Can someone help?

My guess is that the slapper is in the layer below the slap receiver when it should be the opposite way around. You’ll need to add the layer with 2 being the furthest foward and -2 being the furthest back.

Layers to put the closer to the front is a higher layer and if you want them in the back a lower layer
ex.
@SLAPPER moves to layer 3 AND SLAPPED moves to layer 2

say &CHARACTER moves to layer #(the highest number of characters on screen)
ex.

&BROOKLYN moves to layer 4
