Okay, so I don’t know if this makes any sense, but I’ve been struggling a lot with making transitions in my story smooth, especially when it comes to scenes that have a lot of characters and/or overlays. For example, I’ll have one scene fade out, and then I’ll want to fade into another scene, which has a lot of people in it. If I put all of the characters and overlays I want in the scene out before the transition, they flash on the screen before the transition happens. If I put them after the transition, they don’t appear for a few seconds. Does anyone know how to fix this? It would mean a lot.
You use this symbol &
@transition fade out color (ex: black)
INT. BACKGROUND NAME
&CHARACTER1 spot # in zone #
&CHARACTER2 spot # in zone #
And so on
If it comes to overlays add them to the background, unless you need something to show up in the middle of the scene then use & as well for create/scale/size/opacity
Thank you, you are so helpful
