Someone please help me! X and Y? I don't get it at all ):

Look I may sound like the dumbest person ever, (and maybe I am) but I just can’t wrap my head around X and Y? Like I’m so confused, can someone help me? What is it? And what is the code to put it into a script? I’m a brand new author, and I’m just trying to write my first story.

All I want to do is have my character run out of a house from the distance? If that makes sense? Like you know how a character will look rlly small and run up to the screen and they’re larger? That’s what I’m trying to do. I’ve been on here for hours and I can’t understand anything! Some people are saying something about X and Y?

Like I tried it, and it just confused the hell out of me. I got this weird long number that makes no sense? What I’m trying to say, is can someone numb it down for me in the most simplest way?
