I’m pretty advanced in directing, so I’m so confused why my spot directing is suddenly acting so stupid???
INT. LA APARTMENT - DAY @zoom on 0 0 to 100% in 0 @ALEX spot 1.280 -74 6 in zone 1 AND ALEX moves to layer 3 AND LIZ spot 1.280 68 7 in zone 1 AND LIZ moves to layer 2 AND LIZ faces left
@LIZ walks to spot 1.280 244 14 in zone 1 in 2 AND LIZ faces left AND ALEX walks to spot 1.280 94 16 in zone 1 in 2
ALEX (talk_exhausted)
You would not believe the morning I've had...
@ALEX walks to spot 1.280 81 45 in zone 2 in 2 AND LIZ walks to spot 1.280 81 45 in zone 2 in 2
@cut to zone 2 @LIZ spot 0.976 225 172 in zone 2 AND ALEX spot 0.959 99 177 in zone 2 AND LIZ faces left AND ALEX faces right AND LIZ is idle_handsonhips_neutral_loop @ALEX is search_neutral
So, the weird error I’m having is that Liz should be spot 0.976 225 172 in zone 2, like so:
idk it’s doing the same thing to my characters to. So I wanted my character to walk idle from one place to another and its just getting bigger and not moving from left to right

While working on one of my stories, my spot directing was acting up like it would not let characters walk off screen (they will just walk to a spot that i didn’t put in and then stop) and also sometimes when i’m moving a character and adjusting their height and i save it on the portal, it will not work
The new portal has a lot of glitches and it’s honestly annoying
So I’ve had this glitch happen sporadically for a while now (>2 years). What I find helps is adding a tiny pause before the characters change height. Try:
@/ALEX walks to spot 1.280 81 45 in zone 2 in 2 AND LIZ walks to spot 1.280 81 45 in zone 2 in 2 @pause for 0.1
&cut to zone 2
@/LIZ spot 0.976 225 172 in zone 2 AND ALEX spot 0.959 99 177 in zone 2 AND LIZ faces left AND ALEX faces right AND LIZ is idle_handsonhips_neutral_loop
