Specific overlay idea won’t work

Hi can somebody help me with overlayers? So I’m trying to create the iMessage typing dots. I made some props of the first circle being grey till the last one and I now want it to shift between those at the the same place. But that doesn’t seem to work. I tried it and one time it did work but only with two of the props (I have three) and it was not at the right place. Can somebody help me pls??image image image

I put those typing things in here for if anybody wants to use them as a prop

Okay, so there might be a much easier way to do this, but this is what I created that worked for me lol. Here’s my code:

INT. PHONE - DAY with TYPING1 at layer 2 with TYPING2 at layer 2 with TYPING3 at layer 2
&zoom reset
&overlay TYPING1 scales to 0.450 0.450
&overlay TYPING1 shifts to 0 30
&overlay TYPING1 opacity 1 in 0
&overlay TYPING2 scales to 0.450 0.450
&overlay TYPING2 shifts to 2 22
&overlay TYPING2 opacity 1 in 0
&overlay TYPING3 scales to 0.417 0.41
&overlay TYPING3 shifts to 5 22
&overlay TYPING3 opacity 1 in 0
&ANNA spot 1.280 400 0 AND CASEY spot 1.280 -400 0

Dude, Kelly is throwing her back-to-school bash tonight.
@overlay TYPING1 opacity 1 in 0.1
@overlay TYPING1 opacity 0 in 0.1
@overlay TYPING2 opacity 1 in 0.1
@overlay TYPING2 opacity 0 in 0.1
@overlay TYPING3 opacity 1 in 0.1
@overlay TYPING3 opacity 0 in 0.1

The overlays are obviously the ones that I named, so they’ll be different for you. And if yours are all the same size, then you shouldn’t need to change the size as I did. Keep the layers and the placements the same for each overlay. :slight_smile:
