Spot directing help - characters don't show on right spots when previewing!

Hey,

my problem is that I have tried to spot direct this specific scene several times the way I always do (and it usually works). I used the preview function, put the characters in the right spots, then copied the stage and put it into my script.

Here’s my script for that scene:

EXT. MG CAMPUS QUAD - DAY

@cut to zone 2

@zoom on 634 220 to 107% in 0

@NELIA spot 0.278 279 363 AND NELIA faces left AND NELIA starts idle_headbob_neutral_loop AND NELIA moves to layer 4

@LANDON spot 0.284 235 363 AND LANDON faces right AND LANDON starts play_guitar_neutral_loop AND LANDON moves to layer 3

@RANDO GIRL 3 spot 1.280 203 9 in zone 2 AND RANDO GIRL 3 faces left AND RANDO GIRL 3 starts listen_nod_happy_loop AND RANDO GIRL 3 moves to layer 5

@RANDO GIRL 2 spot 1.280 70 -1 in zone 2 AND RANDO GIRL 2 stands screen left AND RANDO GIRL 2 faces right AND RANDO GIRL 2 starts talk_smile_happy_loop AND RANDO GIRL 2 moves to layer 6

@RANDO GUY 1 spot 0.724 134 266 in zone 2 AND RANDO GUY 1 stands screen right AND RANDO GUY 1 faces left AND RANDO GUY 1 starts talk_phone_neutral_loop AND RANDO GUY 1 moves to layer 2

@RANDO GIRL 1 spot 0.587 53 223 in zone 2 AND RANDO GIRL 1 faces right AND RANDO GIRL 1 starts idle_sit_leanback_neutral_loop AND RANDO GIRL 1 moves to layer 3

@transition fade in black 1

However, when I use the preview button, the characters keep jumping back into the same positions, which is the following stage:

@zoom on 634 220 to 107% in 0
@RANDO GIRL 1 spot 0.587 53 223
@RANDO GIRL 1 moves to layer 3
@RANDO GIRL 2 spot 1.280 50 0
@RANDO GIRL 2 moves to layer 6
@RANDO GUY 1 spot 1.280 270 0
@RANDO GUY 1 moves to layer 2
@RANDO GIRL 3 spot 1.280 203 9
@RANDO GIRL 3 moves to layer 5
@LANDON spot 0.284 235 363
@LANDON moves to layer 3
@NELIA spot 0.278 279 363
@NELIA moves to layer 4

The only thing that stays the same are the zoom setting and Nelia and Landon’s spots. It doesn’t show any script errors though.

Can somebody help me and find out what the problem is and/or what I am doing wrong? I am trying to publish the chapter by Friday so any help is appreciated!

you didn’t put any zone

… yea I did? except for Landon and nelia, but those aren’t the problem

what do you mean, I just copy and pasted the script into this thread, what I have standing here is literally exactly the script

hold on let me try to add the zone to Landon and nelia

If you spot them, you can’t also add these
