I want to start my story but I’m extremely nervous. I’ve been reading the guides and I seem to be understanding them more but I’m worried that it won’t turn out good. I know that I obviously have to practice but I just don’t want a whole bunch of negativity thrown my way, especially since there’s so many great authors out there whose stories are so good. Any advice?
I recommend that, before publishing your story, try playing with the coding. In that way, you’ll get used to it and you can start writing your story.
Remember, there will be always people throwing shade but don’t let yourself feel intimidated by them. It’s your hard work and there will be people who will acknowledge and treasure it. Also, you never stop learning Episode things. So, there’s no need for you to be a masterpiece on it, give your touch to the story to the coding, even if you are not good at it (code) the plot and how your story is run is what really matters!
There will always be negativity and haters, it’s just how people are… which is really sad!
My advice is don’t let people stop you from doing what you like. I’ve known some people who quit because people didn’t like their story, which is not what you should do in that situation.
There are lots of guides, websites and videos for coding and writing, so you could look at those too. Here are two that I use a lot. Also people on the forums are very helpful if you don’t find what you’re looking for. Good luck!

if you dont already do, follow Joseph Evans on youtube.
get a beta reader to read your story before you publish it. they can tell you how to improve.
and put work into iu. I see a lot of people who publish half finish stories. yes its hard to write. but stories are good because work are been put into them. it would be better for you to put a month extra work and fix all mistakes than publish it full of mistakes.
you dont need amazing directing. most people just want a good story. but people still want people to face the right way and not pop up mid scene
Aw, I’m sure your story will turn out great. If you’re nervous before publishing, get a proof reader to tell you what they think of the story. If you need any more help with directing, check out Dara’s website:
Good luck with your story!
@jessica.epi I’ve been watching Joseph Evans a lot actually
He has been pretty helpful but a lot of the videos I’ve used for reference are from 2016 so Episode has slightly changed. Which is fine lol, I’ve figured it out for the most part. It’s just the coding and how specific it has to be that throws me off. Thank you for your words of encouragement!
Of course!
@beckybee.episode
Thank you for your kind words
I have been trying really hard to get use to the coding part of things. I have been playing around with it, like you said, and it does make understanding it a little easier. I guess it’s just a new concept to me. It makes me want to quit lol but I’m confident that one day it’ll become easier!
he has a lot of videos on codeing. and most has not changed.
but other good you channels to follow is this
If I can ever help you with something, let me know!
