Itās right. Iām pro-theft.
Iām just kidding lmao, donāt steal, theft of non-tangible work is still theft. ![]()
Iāve never experienced it, fortunately, since I donāt have art worth stealing. Except that one time in third grade that I coloured a picture and Brianna took it out of the pile, erased my name, and wrote hers instead. I remember what you did, Brianna. I still remember.
@line123462 made a good point too, just because some art exists doesnāt mean you can take it and give credit, it has to be art thatās available for use. It should be common sense whether some art is available for you to use or not, but if youāre not sure, asking is better than getting caught with it later down the road.
A good indicator is that if you get it from a drive or a forum post that says āFree backgrounds for your stories,ā you can probably use it with credit, but if you have to lift it from someoneās projectāa pfp, story, etcāitās probably not available for use.
