In a lot of stories who joined the Fantastical stories (I entered too), you can find something different from Angels, Demons, Vampires etc

My Original Post was March 12, and Now I am doing an update. Mainly because I have no idea what I was talking about.
I still dislike werewolves in the Fantasy Trending. I know I have a post for werewolf outfits (#IGuessIBeAHypocrit) mainly for several reasons listed above in other rambles.
But, I’m actually really done with Stories in the WRONG genres. This is especially true with stories in the Comedy & Horror / Thriller sections. I think Rom - Coms should be in the Romance section, because usually they aren’t funny, or not funny enough. Even then, your focus is a romance and not a comedy. For anyone who claims that Com - Roms aren’t possible, they very much are and I have a story that is. Thriller stories are stories that are suppose to give the reader anxiety and anticipation. Whereas Drama gives a more uh . . . I want to scream because I love the characters. Crime vs Relationship Baby Drama. Not the same genre.
I haven’t read any of the featured stories, but I believe that the argument can be made there as well.

I am actually going back and forth of what genre my new story should be in. I still have months before its ready to publish, but I can’t figure out if it belongs in Thriller or Mystery.

Haha, I absolutely see what you’re talking about! I’ve stopped browsing any of the genre sections and just go by people’s recommendations on their profiles. If I find a story I enjoy, I assume that the author has good taste in what to read on the app (not always the case though).

And to all gang leader, kidnappers/serial killers, sugar daddies (ummm…ewww), teacher (Ohh god why?) and also billionaire playboys kind of fetish and its disgusting. I’m thinking. Are you trying to pair the MC with these kinds of stereotypes of male characters is considered appropriate and romantic. No. They all are interpretations of romance but not in a creative sense. When I mean creative I mean a main protagonist ( pinpointing female) needs to have a motivation to reach a certain goal than just to pursue a guy. ( sacrifice everything to be with the guy)
Female characters need to do something that could improve on their smarts and skills to think and make the decisions about the next move to improve on their life. Even encountering stranger dangers. When you see something wrong in that situation such as stalking, obsession or seeing a gang murder. Run. For. Your. Life.

Everyone knows there are plot lines that are over used and should stop being used. It’s harsh criticism, yeah, but it’s accurate. Wattpad, Episode and other user interactive apps like these are all the same when it comes down to the people’s content. Bad boy stories make up up to about 80% of Episode and even “The Bad Boy’s Girl” (a WATTPAD story) was written and made it to Episode. It’s tiring and unoriginal. I’m tired of reading so yes, I’m making my own story that will steer clear of love triangles, mean girls, bad boys and all the cliches, it’s very much possible to make a far better story.

There’s a good story in comedy called “Dirty Sexy Teenagers” or there’s “Modern Family” very funny!!! Or “From A-Z” none of the, have cliche plots.

I’m seeing a lot of ppl in these comments saying “don’t criticize cliché stories, don’t you have anything better to do?” These stories are harmful to the Episode community. For one, they take attention away from smaller Episode authors who actually have writing talent. Like, Episode really didn’t need to feature Chain Reaction, because it already had millions of reads.
While we’re on the topic of stories like Chain Reaction, the relationships in a lot of these “gang” and “bad boy” stories are usually really unhealthy and toxic. Trenton or Trevor whatever or whatever the main guy’s name in Chain Reaction is treats Callie like shit for the entire story and is borderline emotionally abusive. Like, please stop promoting this. The thousands of pre-teen and teen girls that read stories like CR love them and think there’s nothing wrong with Callie and the gang leader’s relationship.
