Girl that’s supposed to be ‘sassy’ and ‘badass’ but is really just mean.
Bad boy that’s an asshole, but, he has/did have a bad past, so it’s all justified.
Love interest/bad boy is a billionaire (but goes to a normal, generic high school?).
‘Happy’ endings that always involve children… God, no thank you.

• Badass sassy MC who’s only goal in life is to fall in love with the bad boy.
• Gay best friend who wears florals and says he’s gay in every single sentence.
• MC’s mum who is either an alcoholic/strict Christian/doesn’t care about her child.
• The MC’s dad doesn’t exist somehow.
• Blonde, rich mean girl who’s only hobby is ruining the MC’s love life.
• Sassy, party-loving black girl who’s thrown in for the sake of diversity and doesn’t have a purpose in the story.
• Mean girls BFF who repeats whatever she says and is an actual clone.
• The bad boy who wears leather and smokes all the time.
• Abusive gang leader we’re forced to love.
• Unrealistically perfect golden boy.
Plot Clichés
• The MC is late for school, but manages to meet her friends, bump into the bad boy, get insulted by the mean girl, meet the golden boy and then finally goes to class.
• The MC is pregnant by the {insert stereotype}
• Dark tragic pasts. (it’s ok a few times, but when it’s mentioned all the time, it’s kind of annoying.)
• The MC transforms for the bad boy.
• MC is kidnapped by a gang leader and becomes pregnant.
• MC is part of gang and is so bad and tough, nobody can take her down until she meets LI.
• MC runs away from her Christianity.
• The MC tries to lose her virginity, and hates being a virgin.
• Parties where teenagers get drunk.
