Stories we're sick and tired of seeing in the trending and featured section

I think some people do this because there are readers who say " I won’t read a story, no matter how good it is, unless there’s CC" . The author wants to have a middle ground because they don’t want to change the MC but also want people like that to give their story a chance. (Just a guess.)

Agree, as long as there is character/relationship devlopment and not " oOo he looked at me, I’m in love", cliches can be written well. ( in the trending section, not so much. They all are carbon-copy stories with name changes. )

I like partial.cc because there are some features i dont like and want to change but some i dont care about. Usually they dont let you change ones that don’t make a diff to me

I personally don’t care if CC is included or not. As long as the story is good, my MC could have 3 eyes and an ear growing out of their forehead :joy:. I just want a well thought out plot and characters with real personality and development. lol

I don’t have a preference.
To me reading should be something you do because you want to learn.
What people on here forget is that each story on the app whether cliché or not has something people learn from it.
It’s totally wrong to be so disrespectful of author’s work.
If I don’t like a story or am tired of seeing the same things, I simply don’t read them.

People are just stating what they don’t like seeing in stories. Everyone is allowed to voice their opinions.

It can be done without utter disrespect to authors of such stories.

I agree with that but I personally haven’t seen that been done in this thread. If it has, then yes it is wrong.

I only scrolled through this, but aside from a few mentioning story titles (mostly episode original titles), people are talking about the cliches and tropes they dislike. I didn’t see anyone specifically targeting any author.

I read a few disrespectful comments that’s what I’m making allusions to.
And the fact that many others support such act to me is incomprehensible

Oh alright, that’s fair enough.

Episode original stories have authors as well.

Episode original stories don’t just pop up out of the blue.
They have authors too.

Obviously. But they are, in my opinion, all basically carbon-copy cliches that most of the community do not like. People are entitled to think and speak about their opinions as they wish to do so. I didn’t see any blatantly disrespectful comments. I saw people expressing their distaste for certain cliches that are always included.

Yes, these trending stories are popular reads for some. But I don’t see that as being reason enough for people to be silenced.

I’m not denying the fact that people can criticize or give opinions.
But what’s the point of criticising if it’s not constructive? I read a bunch of comments up there which made me wonder.
If those making such comments really wanted something different why not try writing a badass story that’s not “cliché” not "poorly written " and try getting it to number one on trending?
To me it’s totally disrespectful to disregard the work of other authors like that because no matter how cliché or deja vu those stories are, there’s still a message the author tries to pass on. And those same authors give themselves a hard time to entertain all of us.
Mind you all those trending stories on the app are there because that’s what readers want to read.
Anyway my pov which no one is forced to accept

Not always lol. It’s not like they’re saying, “They could really work on this…” a lot of them are straight up, “this part was terrible, this part was decent…” etc. Not everyone is gonna think the work is good.

What “vile” comments lol? I feel like most of them on here are just about particular genres and cliches people don’t like.

I mean I don’t see anything. It’s not like they’re name dropping authors and picking their stories apart. They’re just saying general things they don’t wanna see in stories.

I’m just saying if you’re against the whole idea of this thread in general then it probably isn’t for you.
The thing with this also is that when authors write these cliches people that read them can get toxic mind sets from them. Like if younger people read them then they could be negatively influenced by it and because of the cliches get the wrong view about society. For example the student teacher relationship stories. They could think that sexual assault by teachers is okay.
