Hola! My story takes place in Italy ( no mafia involved I’m just Italian) so many names of dishes or cities are in Italian. Thought at the beginning of the story I decided to use only “English sounding” names for the characters to make everyone feel more invested, now it seems strange that all those clearly Italian people have English names.
Question: what would you prefer?
Italian people with strangely English names
Italian names for Italian people even thought it probably breaks the rythm

I would say italian names for italian people. It’s just strange when there are typically english names but for none english people. And I don’t think it breaks the rythm when you use italian names, it’ll only apply to the story and where it takes place.
I hope I could help.
Italian names for Italian people. But pleaaaaase do your research because most names used in stories are names that today aren’t that used anymore here
