yea
what kinda choice do you want to make?
Uhm, I want to us @pan to move to the right but when it does move there the characters that I wanted to be there all along just pop up after like 2 seconds making that episode look glitchy…and tacky and I don’t like it. SO! How do I use pan but also keep those characters on that side of the screen without them looking like they just got there?
just place them before pan to zone using & instead of @
Example:
&CHARACTER stands screen left in zone 2
&CHARACTER1 spot % X Y in zone 2
@pan to zone 2
a choice that changes the story
so more like you want to remember a choice that will change the story?
check out Dara’s thread here: HOW TO: Remember Past Choices (if/elif/else)
yes omg thank you!
Oh, okay. Thank you
ok ssoooo uhm… eheh what’s a opp?
How do I make my character walk with pan??
@follow CHARACTER to screen position in zone #
or
&pan to zone #
@CHARACTER walks to screen position in zone #
or
&pan to zone #
@CHARACTER walks to spot % X Y in zone #
Thank you so much!
Hey! So there’s this frustrating I’m trying to fix, but I can’t figure it out. I’m trying to change the filter into Black & White in the middle of the scene, but I can’t. Here’s my script right now.
Script
@transition fade in
INT. BRICK MANSION - DAY
@pan to zone 2 in 3.5
NARRATOR
The wealthy upper class.
They’re wealthy.
They are successful, easy to talk to, and most of all…
Content.
Their lives are perfect.
But perfection…
@transition fade out white
FILTER: Black and White
@set hsl 0 -100 0 no_colorize with blendMode NORMAL to 100%
Your filter will be enabled for every scene after this line
To turn off the filter, use “@reset hsl” or “@reset hsl in [# of seconds]”
@transition fade in white
it should work did you try on your phone?
Hi <3
So I’m having some trouble with overlays.
After viewing Joseph Evan’s tutorial on placing + animating overlays, (see " ANIMATING OVERLAYS - Episode Limelight Tutorial 11" on his channel), I’m basically trying to copy what he does between 1:00 and 2:30.
The trouble is, my “studio” screen doesn’t display the same type of code beneath the preview that his does. Whereas his gives coordinates of the layouts as he drags it around wherever he wants it to appear, mine just says “helper readout”.
I was going to attach a screenshot here of what my screen looks like but it won’t let me do that
Also, he seems to be able to click on and drag his overlay around to place it where he wants it to be! I tried clicking on mine, but I’m not able to manipulate mine >:( clicking on the preview screen, (trying to click on and drag the overlay,) just causes it to go to the next line of the script.
I’m guessing that part of the problem may be that the Studio creator dock layout thing has changed and undergone updates since Joseph made this tutorial, so the layout on which I’m trying to do this may not be exactly the same as how he experienced it.
I’m guessing another part of the problem might have to do with the fact that my script currently doesn’t include “beats”. I understand that they’re an element of the code that dictates timing, (and might be important to the animation of an overlay); however, I only really saw them being utilized from the mobile creation view and so far haven’t utilized or coded any beats from my laptop.
How can I begin to animate my overlay, and get it to move and behave?
Alright, I totally forgot the answer to this question. How many times can you edit a topic you created? I know a reply can be edited 7 times but I can’t remember the other one,
Try looking on top of or underneath the helper readout.
No. I have an error.
I had no idea about limits at all better ask Jeremy or Sydney
what error do you have?
