I have a question—> How does label work? I didn’t mean how to use it. My question is, Can I use the same label name in the script for each episode? Or will they conflict with previous episodes one in the story?
I know we can’t use the same label name twice in an episode script. But can we use the same label name in a script for a different episode of the story?

Yeah, you can use the same name in different episodes. Tho I don’t know why you would want to do that. You can literally just choose ANY name. But anyway, a label name can be used once per episode.

How do you keep characters on screen when you change backgrounds?

INT. BACKGROUNDNAME
&CHAR1 stands screen right

Use & instead of @ and make sure the transitions (if you use) is after all the &

INT. BACKGROUNDNAME
&CHAR1 stands screen right
&CHAR2 stands screen left
&CHAR3 stands back left
@transition fade in

Thanks! Does that keep all of my old characters from the previous scene? I want them all to stay where they are and keep doing what they’re doing.

Yes, they will stay there. So, when you switch scenes they will be doing the same thing they were doing in the last scene.

I want my character to move so they are in front of the overlay. How do i do that?

Put the overlay to layer 1 and the characters to layer 2

Hello! I was wondering if you could help me with something. At one scene in my story, I need one of my characters to drop the Bagel Plain prop. I created an overlay of the bagel to try to really get the effect in of her dropping it, but I can’t seem to figure out the code to make it look like it’s being dropped from her hand to the floor. Any ideas?

Ah, yes. I’ve already tried that (thanks to my dear friend Joseph Evans) but the overlay itself isn’t showing up now. I tried it in the app, and it’s not showing up there either. I’m using:
