So basically I saw this in My Sister’s Crush (gem free version) and there was a scene in the bedroom with dialog then it would switch to outside of the room and then back in the bedroom and I was trying to do that with my story but I realized that I would have to add back coding.
For Example:
INT. CLASSROOM BLACKBOARD - DAY
@/MATEO spot x y z
MATEO (talk_armscrossed_condescending_loop)
Does that outfit look like a uniform?
Then I try to switch to another background.
INT. CLASSROOM DESK - DAY
@/ZIYA spot x y z
ZIYA (talk_apathetic)
To me? Yes actually.
And now I want to switch back to INT. CLASSROOM BLACKBOARD - DAY without having to add in the spot directing, layers and all that. Is that possible?
No, you’ll have to put the spots all over again. But you can just copy and paste so I don’t see the problem? Also please use & instead of @ for spot directing. It’ll prevent your characters to awkwardly pop into the scene, instead they’ll already be there
Ohh…Thank you! And I normally would use & for spot directing like that, that wasn’t an actual scene in my story lol I just randomly made it whilst creating this thread.
I usually upload the backgrounds as an overlay and code it in a different zone. For example, here’s a scene I did with characters who are sitting across the table from each other. I have two of the characters in Zone 1 on one background, and two in Zone 4 on a different one, so I just cut back and forth to make the scene.
