TW: death/cancer
I had a cat about a year ago who was my befriend. His name was Oliver and he was gray and white and the softest cat ever. My grandma found him under her porch and his two front paws were declawed and he had nowhere to go, so we took him in. All the other cats were mean to him at first, but slowly started to accept him. He had some problems, and would often use the bathroom outside the litter box or like urinate on the carpet, but I think it was something territorial. He got yelled at a lot and I defended him so that he wouldn’t get thrown out. Whenever I was sad I would just see him and be happy. Fast-forward a few years later and I noticed he was looking sick and was kind of skinny. I took him to the vet and they did some tests and he had a tumor on his leg. I didn’t know how to react. I remember after the vet when I took him home and his leg where they drew blood and stuff started bleeding. There was blood on the floor and I was so scared. I broke down before my brother came upstairs and helped and got my mom on the phone to assure me this was normal. After months of dealing with his cancer, he died on May 14th 2019. I always felt as though it was my fault. I should have noticed the tumor on his leg earlier, and then maybe he would still be here. I remember when we went to put him down, the night before my dad told me he had a vet appointment and might not come back. I couldn’t sleep so I went downstairs and found him laying on the couch. He looked so skinny and sick. I laid next to him and just pet him and cried. It’s been a year and I still have his ashes and I think about him all the time.
I would have talked to him and tried to make him feel better. Tell him I love him and he understands.

aw that’s so awful, I’m sorry to hear about that. I know how meaningful pets are; they’re family. And it’s not ur fault, at all, you couldn’t have known it was going to be so serious like a tumour. 
Oliver seems like such a sweet cat and so lucky to have had met you, I’m sure he’s thinking about you every day 
Being able to talk to animals would be such a dream, if only it was a possibility

I love all these things but I can’t choose favourites. Well, except for tv show. It’s How I Met Your Mother. I’ve been getting really in Pretty Little Liars too. Like, I’ve gotten obsessed, I know everyone watched it a while ago but I started this year.
