You basically got it with the “fish” thing lol. Plenty of things were laying eggs before anything was recognisably a chicken. There were birds laying eggs, and each generation of bird in the egg was progressively more like a chicken. Even today, chickens are changing, generation by generation, just that we don’t live long enough to watch them change noticeably lol.

i chose cynthia because ophelia sounds less villainous & less “evil” in my opinion.
it reminds me of a flower for some reason.

I’ve seen the name Ophelia in a few Episode Stories already, and they’re quite popular. Although, I haven’t seen the name Cynthia so I’d go for that
