So I’ve learned how to use tappable overlays as I’m trying to make a minigame in my story.
Basically, in the minigame there are circles hovering around the area you want to search.
When you tap the circle, I want the opacity to fade back to 0 while the character searches that area.
I have done what I thought would work, but every time I tap the circle, the circles fade but come back within a second or two.
This is a part of my script, and if anybody could tell me where I’m going wrong, I would greatly appreciate it!
&overlay CIRCLE opacity 0
&overlay CIRCLE2 opacity 0
&overlay CIRCLE3 opacity 0
@ROSELLA spot 0.622 -40 224 in zone 1 at layer -1
@ROSELLA changes into ROSELLA_blue
@zoom on 25 185 to 134% in 0
@cut to zone 1
@transition fade in black 1
@ROSELLA walks to spot 0.622 127 219 THEN ROSELLA is think_rubchin
&overlay CIRCLE opacity 1 in 2
&overlay CIRCLE2 opacity 1 in 2
&overlay CIRCLE3 opacity 1 in 2
@speechbubble is 161 362 to 82% with tail_bottom_left
readerMessage Tap the circle you want to search.
(Where should I search?)
&overlay CIRCLE opacity 0 in 0.5
&overlay CIRCLE2 opacity 0 in 0.5
&overlay CIRCLE3 opacity 0 in 0.5
@ROSELLA walks to spot 0.502 73 268 AND ROSELLA does it while walk_neutral_rear AND ROSELLA faces right
@ROSELLA is tinker_stand_neutral_loop_rear
NARRATOR You search through table top, trying not to burn your sleeves on the candles. You cannot find anything important.
@ROSELLA walks to spot 0.622 127 219
