My story centers around the MC joining a monster slayers team, but I can’t figure out a good name for the team. I need a good name for identifying what they are, besides just Hunters or Assassins. The monsters they hunt in question are shadow beasts who can morph into almost any shape, including formless ink-like blobs, usually always with teeth, claws, and/or spikes to attack with. They’re known as The Corrupted.
If it helps form ideas, the setting is Modern Fantasy, with the slayers all being magic users, all with specific types of magic, and all equipped with weapons. The cast in question:
Caleb: Magic: Emotional Aura - allows him to project his own emotions onto others. Weapon: Twin Daggers infused with tranquilizing magic.
Darius: Magic: Heat Touch - His hands can heat up and become capable of scorching or even melting what he touches. Weapon: Shield with force field magic.
Julian: Magic - Supernatural Speed Weapon: Pistol with magic bullets infused with explosion magic.
LV: Magic - Arcane Weaponsmith - Can craft weapons infused with magic from scrap materials with bare hands. Weapon: Gauntlets infused with Kinetic energy redistribution.
(Male) MC: Magic - Healing/Purification Weapon: Hilt infused with transformation magic can shapeshift into a sword, whip, or javelin.
Don’t worry about the powers sounding OP. They all have weaknesses that match their strengths, but I’m saving that to be explained in the story.
