Tell me a time where you've "discovered" a code?

You know how you can add an overlay with a background?

Like: INT.BACKGROUND with OVERLAY

But did you know you can add as many overlay as you want?!

If you did I might sound stupid, but this is news to me!

Text overlays have been a godsend for me. Combined with the [nl] command I’m able to do so many things that allow for more personalization in the story. This scene is just one example of them used to use the reader’s chosen name as a personalized message (small touch, but I thought readers might appreciate it!)

That’s very cool! do you have a specific code to how you did that?

thank you.

Yes I did, did you know background with overlays coded into them

If you add the background name as an overlay you can move it and change layer

You can even add that overlay to other backgrounds by worthing the background as an overlay

I’ve encountered that issue too. I believe I fixed it by setting the opacity in the next line rather than in the same line I wrote the text or placed it

that’s a lot :no_mouth: thank you!

It took me a while, too, before I discovered that you could have more than one overlay in a scene. So, yeah, I know.
