Btw, thanks for the nice compliment :blush: I don’t know why but in Germany we say Holland whenever reffering to the Netherlands, too. Sorry for that! :sweat_smile:

We support and love our neighbours even though we always make fun of everyone! :yum:Yeah, lots of countries refer to The Netherlands as Holland, that’s a history thing.
There are people who care and get a little irritated, others don’t. You can compare it with saying that Germany is Beieren, or Neder-Saksen. And mostly the people of Saksen and Thüringen would get mad because they’re smaller provinces. :joy:

Yeah that’s quite common, I think! But nothing against friendly bickering as long as it’s based on mutual respect for each other! :sweat_smile:
Although we have a hard time understanding each others dialect. People from the North hardly understand the people from the South, and vice versa! We just have too many dialects in the German language… and don’t get me started on Austrian and Swiss “accents” :joy:
