I was wondering if there was a way to have a created name, that the reader as created, appear at the top of the screen or as a text bubble. I am trying to make a messaging scene and have the characters name at the top so it shows who they are texting. But since the name is chosen by the character i can not just create an overlay. Is there a way to have a text box there some how?
you can have the exact same format as you would have if the character’s already had a name, but you just put in [FIRSTNAME] as the title thingy
Yeah, i am aware thank you, but i was wondering if there was a way to keep a text there. Like you know on imessage you are texting someone and it has their name at the top, is their a way to do that.
no, i don’t think there’s a way to do that due to the fact that you have readers customizing the name and you’re trying to use overlays.
but an alternative would be, to use episodes texting feature. it doesn’t keep the name up there on the top of the screen but instead displays characters name as the texts are revealed on the screen. check it out and see if you like it!
also may i suggest you could use nicknames and upload overlays of the nicknames to use instead of an actual character name! for ex: bff, boyfriend, mom, etc.

YES! -you can have there the text with the text reader has chosen.
