i actually hate volleyball
but i play soccer and tennis and i swim (i don’t do any competitive sports & i’m not in any teams, i just play for the heck of it)

The topic of this thread is “to talk about your life, what’s going on, what you did today, crushes, drama, love, hate, etc.”
This is not a thread for discussing RP’s and those involved in RP’s can always start a general discussion thread for RP’s rather than co-opting this thread.
Any thread which proves to consistently attract or invite off-topic posts will be closed.

Actually, I believe RP chats would fall within the rules of this thread. The original post also says “Just talking about things that mean something to you, and how you’re feeling.”
RP obviously has meaning to those of us talking about it. Although not always, we also generally talk about how we feel- IE: “I’m so excited to play this character” “oh my god I have to finish so many characters” “my character and yours need to meet!!” (implication there is that it would be cool for them to meet)
So in the case that we ensure ALL and not just most posts about RP fall within “Just talking about things that mean something to you, and how you’re feeling.” shouldn’t we be fine?

I agree with Mehek. An RP is an activity that most people do in their day-to-day lives, and the stories and people give plenty of topic. While I agree, this thread is incredibly unspecific so it allows for people to talk about anything they so wish, and perhaps having a space for those things would be better to separate what from where, at the end of the day, it’s just a conversation.
You’re putting a lot of new and random rules on us in the attempt to being ‘organised’ and are just over-complicating things in the doing so - while also providing more useless work for you and your moderators. What does it matter what people post on a thread, so long as it is related to the topic and doesn’t offend. If it goes against either of those, can’t you trust us to deal with it ourselves, or flag you? Would save you a lot of time.
This thread is for people to talk about anything life-related - which equates to anything - and gives people a place to post things that may not fit elsewhere. It’s a good addition. With the amount of new ‘sub threads’ and the strange new ‘guidelines’ and the annoying new layout which in my (and many others I don’t doubt) opinion just over-complicates things further, it’s good to have at least one place where we can post things that don’t fit elsewhere. It’s like a miscellaneous section. Every place needs one.
But, lemme guess, I’ll be ignored because ‘what do I know?’. Right? Don’t worry, I can interpret your response. It’s either A) take it up with such and such, or B) Thanks, we’ll consider, please just follow the rules for now.
