The box was in my hands as I sobbed, a wave of guilt rushed over me as I heard my mother’s stutters replaying in my head…

She seems eager to be included in my life, but I feel like i would be replacing my father if I do accept her. Furthermore, what had she ever done for me to deserve to be my mother?
