Probably the way they look at the sky, cause the sky looks flat to them.
If you look at the sky, it will kinda look flat, so the flat earthers believed it was flat when it really isn’t. But is clearly an oblate spheroid.

Science and Religion are two different things. Religion is about morals and science is about facts. So, please don’t bring Religion into this, thanks. But I don’t want to go off topic and I don’t want to argue about this. But yeah the Earth is an oblate spheroid is already proven and there obviously evidence about it, so the flat earthers can’t really deny the fact that the Earth is an oblate spheroid.

Religion is not just about morals, only partially, but whatever. I mentioned religion because people mentioned this flat-Earth thing as a “belief”. I didn’t compare them. Religion is just an example of what the belief is.

The Earth is NOT flat 
We had a student that did a presentation of how global warming doesn’t exist in one of my classes (feels like a long time ago) and everyone giggled, including the teacher who told him he couldn’t take him seriously. Now if he did a presentation on the Earth being flat, no one would be able to get up from the floor laughing

I have a bit of a different view on global warming, so I don’t put it in the same category. Like there are different views although facts are the same. Just depends on how you interpret them. More of a philosophical question. For me at least.

Lol yeah. I just dont know how people think the Earth is flat… like it really doesn’t make sense. The reason why it feels flat when we are standing on it it’s because we are so small and we are on a huge planet. It’s still round but due to the Earth and us in size difference our eyes perceive it as flat because we are small.
