There’s more than one kind of Asian!

I love the Japanese creation story and its casual sexism. Makes me laugh

It is pretty great >.<

Of Course it’s the woman who ends up in the underworld and needs to get walled off because she’s ugly now and it made Izanagi scream because he’s a li’l bitch

Tradition is very important in China because it honors the past and reminds important things for them in life. Bad news, Chinasrestricts internets and info on electronic.

That sounds horrible.

April 29th - May 5th they have a bunch of celebrations throughout the week, all for different things like a ‘constitutional memorial day’ and such, hence - Golden Week. I know kids get the whole week off school and there are street festivals and stuff. It sounds like a blast

Whoa. As long as it isn’t extremely sexist…

I know that Valentine’s Day in Japan is really different. They take it way more seriously. Companies will get chocolates kinda out of custom. I believe that’s called “Giri-Choco” – like more of an obligation than an actual thing.

Some people make chocolates, but they must have loads of free time on their hands. I think it’s because it means more. I believe Valentine’s is more a girl thing than a guy thing.

Then a month later, there’s White Day – the guys give something back to the girls who got/made them chocolates

In North Korea, it’s 100% no internet, just brainwash stuff! Anyhow, it’s bedtime. Goodnight everyone (Xia xian!) (goodbye in Chinese).

Also, when Izanami spoke first when they were trying to create life, the baby came out deformed and they abandoned it at sea… because women shouldn’t talk first

Product of its time unfortunately, even Buddhism is pretty sexist by our standards. Doesn’t make it any less interesting imo

Let’s gloss over the fact that it’s advocating child neglect xD

If your child is ugly? Abandon it at sea. Not the best message.

I love Shintoism :stuck_out_tongue:
