There’s more than one kind of Asian!

Races are made up of multiple ethnicities that share some distinct features.

Ah. That makes more sense, thanks

So for example in Japan, there is mixing with other East Asians who also share many features with the Japanese like the Chinese and Koreans. However, there’s barely any with white, black, middle Eastern or south Asian people.

Ah. that reminds me. Taiwan, which is a Republic of China, does learning the Japanese’s style. I was Chinese, but it under Chinese on my DNA reoprt, Taiwan, is there a reason why?

is that not selfish?

It’s definitely selfish. The post also doesn’t seem to acknowledge the fact that people shouldn’t be telling Indians they’re not Asian.

Telling Indians they’re not asian is just wrong. If anyone is from a country in asia, they’re asian.

That’s called narcissism.

My ma married a Filipino man. I feel like they’re a bit different…especially considering in Texas, it is majority Hispanic state. I see Hispanic people all over, especially Mexicans, so like >.> eh, they look pretty different to me.

Sorry but I don’t really Get the problem?

The problem is that there’s some people in the world who don’t know that India is in Asia. A lot of countries people don’t generally consider “Asian” since it isn’t “east Asian”. Like the Middle East is in Asia, and all that jazz.

Not to be rude but why is that a big deal?

To someone who isn’t Asian it probably isn’t. But if like…someone called me Canadian, I’d be a little offended. X’DDDD

That kinda thing.

Because it’s rude?

Are you Asian?

No?

Then you have no right to say it isn’t or speak on if it is or not. Good day. :relieved:

Then it’s not your problem??? How is someone saying “There’s more than one kind of Asian!” on a mobile app’s forums is affecting your life? Please.

Well, like I said, it isn’t a big deal if you aren’t Asian, but it is to Asians. When you call someone that’s Honduran Mexican, for example, that kinda thing just pisses people off. Because it isn’t their real identity.

There’s a correct way to handle this sort of thing, but yeah. Like, I don’t know what you are. But if someone saw you and just said that you’re something that you aren’t completely, surely you’d want to correct them. And if they started being like, “Nuh-uh! You’re -insert incorrect nationality here-” then it can be irritating af.
