Chowder’s completely ignored every single anecdote in this thread to claim no one says India isn’t in Asia.
something that happened to me yesterday at school.
p1: ur white
me: im filipino too
p1: no ur white
me: my mom is from the philippines making me half filipino half white
p1: but ur dad is white. ur half asian half white
me: im half filipino
and then i started to ignore him. he may have been joking since we are family friends, but it was annoying.
Man when I tell people that I’m Asian, they automatically think I’m lying. I cringe so hard when they say something like,“You’re not Asian, you’re Indian” Indian is Asian! Though I don’t really look Asian because of my skin tone, hair and eye shape. I get told that I look very Eastern European.
Basically, the kind of Asians you are referring to is Middle Eastern. This is China, Mongolia, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan (Republic of China), and I’m Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, and Native American. There is South East Asian. Otherwise, I’m Asian. Fun Fact: Asia is NOT a continent. Instead, it’s Eurasia.
What if you had an ancestor who was originally Europe?
Maybe you’re right. I’m definitely not pure Asian as my mother tried to convince me that I am which I don’t think I am.
One way to find out is Ancestry! Maybe you could do that since it could help with your history about how you are Asian if you look Eastern Europe. You could even find fun facts. Like my friend Faith is a descent to St. Patrick. The guy who started St. Patrick Day!
I see now.
Most of my ancestors are from Bangladesh. Even though these genetics are very weird because I am the only family member that doesn’t look Asian at all.
Well, at least it makes you look unique! Maybe it is a blend of your ancestors’ features. You could have your great uncle, etc. eyes, or skin, or, just your own set of genes. Which is rare, but cool!
Sometimes genetics work differently, for example if someone in your mother’s side that’s close to you (might be your aunt, uncle, grandparents etc.) has green eyes, you may get green eyes if it’s the same for your father’s side.
Most likely
Where are your ancestors from?
True true
I did 23and Me. But because I’m adopted, I don’t know their names. But I am
92.1% Chinese (Taiwan)
3.4%Mongolian
1% Korean
0.1%Native American.
I did 23And Me.

Oh wow that’s a lot.
It’s too bad I don’t know my biological parents. I had a heart problem so they had to give me up to what most people are thinking, but it’s actually unknown. So, I want to see them so badly!
I think India has feelings, although what I do hate is that Columbus called the Natives ”Indians” because he thought he was in India and that how we started to say, ”the Indians” just because Columbus said it. Everyone has feelings, even the people who live there.
Yeah, it’s messed up. That’s why I always correct people when they call them Indians.
Refer to them correctly!
I’m Native American and that was only in Middle Eastern, also the fact people can be racist. The boys in 6th grade we’re so rude about me being Chinese! I proved them wrong! I am also Mongolian and Korean. So, people should not assume things. It’s rude and very harassing!
