I know that your story is inspired by Snow White, and the evil queen is not Snow White’s biological mother.
How do u explain that?

Here’s the answer:

I have read many versions of Snow White where the mother was biological and I think it’s much more disturbing, so naturally I added it. In the first drafts, Nylora was a step-mother but back then we didn’t have the Fair Maiden thing either.

Maybe when the evil queen transformed herself in an old lady it wasn’t really a potion or something like that, maybe she was really getting old because she didn’t eat Snow White’s heart. And she used potion to make herself young again, but with a limited duration.
