It definitely amps up her intrigue as a villain. I guess if she wasn’t a convincing actress, Vera would have had her suspicions but it really just shows how evenly matched Vera and Nylora are. Nylora is really not to be underestimated and Vera’s eventual victory is less because of her actions and more because of the actions of others and her ability to start trusting in herself as a human being capable of deep emotion.
But I’m also…I love that there’s enough subtext that we can theorize things and be on the right track, if not guessing every element, and that there are also some things that are still a complete surprise but make a lot of sense in retrospect. There’s really no comparison for the level of engagement this story encourages across the rest of the Episode platform. I mean, there are plenty of great stories and ones with complex world-building, but even memes aside the fact that there are so many responses in this thread just really shows how easy it is to get wrapped up and pulled in by every aspect of the story even as we all head toward the same ending. What a journey we are taking together!!!

Yeah, I never felt like that for any other story in the app, TaT is the best one, hands down
And the fact that maybe Spiegel publish her version of it, that I’d read even without the RPG elements

…and I had a suspicion that the promises were null and void upon death. (so technically they are still in effect, and Nylora is panicking now.)
I just wasn’t sure if she would cover herself in blood 10 minutes before public speaking. 
Half of me figured she would be cruel and make her wait until it was all said and done with, and twist the knife for Jasper, but this makes a lot more sense for her. She knows more about it than Furylust and she had that edge the entire time without giving it away. She’s not a fool, she’s been playing games like this her entire life. She however, did NOT expect to be outmanoeuvred by the King from beyond the f*kn GRAVE. WHO WOULD?! 
I think we can all suspect what is going to happen next though. I think there’s going be a fight, and maybe some more killing… 
I have been. I found a few I really like, but I can’t say I’m as deeply invested into them as I am for TaT.
This thread has caused me to weave even deeper to this amazing story than I thought was possible on Episode.
So, excellent work! I will buy the books when they come out!

I do love that of all people, Nylora underestimated Cerasos. and it really shows how deeply devoted he was to Vera and to the Kingdom. It’s like she knew he would find a way to save Vera if she waited too long and in the end, it was still more than enough time. So Cerasos was not just full of heart, but also extremely clever - which is a dangerous combination. But whatever else she does, she will have to die now because she cannot consume Vera’s heart. But the question is who will suffer in the meantime? She can probably now anticipate that Vera will not be dead permanently unless her heart is destroyed (or consumed) but Nylora I’m pretty sure has no way of knowing where it is. But Jasper may come to the conclusion about what’s in the box (still assuming her heart is indeed in the box), so I’m worried about what will happen to him & everyone else, especially since Amelia is still there. So I do think there will be a fight, but it’s unclear who will be involved. Will Vera come back just before Nylora’s time is up or will she remain in the realm of Crossroads? I do know Spiegel said she would hurt us in later chapters so haha I’m nervous
