I like looking at what people like and dislike, usually I agree with people on the forums, but there are times when I don’t. What are things you don’t mind in episode that everyone else hates. I’ll start.
Episodes that are just character customization.
I don’t hate this at all, customization is the reason I’m on Episode instead of Wattpad. I also customize all my background characters when writing so do with that as you will. The only time I don’t like this is when I customize like 4 characters and the episodes over. I know you had space to write something! One of my favorite stories “Nanny For a Year” does this were you cc the Mc, the LI, his parents and their 9 siblings. The second episode ran for maybe 30 minutes when I played it so I automatically know that it wouldn’t have fit.
2nd person
Admittedly I haven’t seen this opinion a lot, but I’ve seen it before. Once again, I don’t hate it at all. Since I started writing essay’s I’ve always liked writing in 2nd person. It’s fun to write and to read, it feels a lot more personal and it separates it from most episode stories that are in 3rd person. Two stories that do this well, The Ruby Tiara and The PR Stunt.
*Long Narrations
It’s not my favorite for certain I’ll be honest I might skip it sometimes, but I don’t hate it. Especially if it’s really good. Sometimes I screenshot narration scenes as a guide for how to describe things when I’m writing outside of Episode
Now that I think about it, these are going to be real unpopular opinions These are off the top of my head but I’m curious about you
Gem choices like support the author, early access etc. I just don’t like when it for a change in dialougue but ones that don’t matter to the story I don’t mind seeing. People go on long rants about this but I just don’t understand, I mean what is stopping you from just skipping past it. I respect their opinions nonetheless.
Mafia stories now I do agree some glamorous things that shouldn’t be glamorized that I don’t support but the ones I’ve read and are reading aren’t actually bad at all and are interesting

Good punctuation, I couldn’t care less of having periods after every sentence. I only starting realizing it was important to some when I got people to review my stores.
I don’t really mind gem choices, as long as theyre not for every choice like episode does it then its fine. like if its at the end of a story to support the author then yea ill choose it if i have some left over from getting free gems from reading episode original stories. early access? i dont really mind that since im busy with school & coding my own story so I have the patience to wait, I feel like its really the people who are impatient (dont get me wrong i get it, like if a story is good and you dont want to wait it gets frustrating) who get upset. Now I kind of dont really mind it but at the same time it gets me the teeniest bit upset because mainly the stories who have gem choices get recognized & shown the most in the categories so it makes it hard for smaller authors like me to get the recognition we deserve but thats not the author’s fault, theyre just trying to get recogized & people to read their story too, its episode’s fault for promoting the same stories over & over again. other than that i agree with everything you said
Not everybody, but some people prefer custom backgrounds instead of the background Episode provides us with because they’re too common. I don’t really mind Episode backgrounds.
Not everybody hates this, but… I’m okay with support the author choices. Authors should get rewarded for all their hard work, right? That’s why that choice is there. Nobody is forced to make that choice. It only annoys me if the support choice is like around 20 gems (I don’t remember the exact number) that’s when it irritates me.
I don’t mind authors being in their own stories (alongside their characters) as long as they write them well (as if their own character was genuinely another character in the story).
I don’t mind this either, actually since we need 3 episodes to publish I think first 3 should be pass free!
These are really good because people who can will support and those that cannot will not (they still appreciate the story though).

Personally I don’t mind readermessages that pop up on screen and even long background credits. I remember seeing stories that give credits as an option to click on. I don’t like this, you should show them regardless, reader might choose not to even view the credits which sucks imo.
I also don’t mind basic directing. I think many prefer advanced but imo as long as it isn’t butchered, and it’s smooth, then the story can be excellent and entertaining.
I don’t mind basic streotype getting used in a story. I don’t mind stories with zero cc or limited which many seem to have problems with. I don’t mind author intros unless it’s dramatic I don’t mind longer chapters even if it goes 30 minutes plus.
