Not saying anyones stealing episode backgrounds because they are basically out and open but when I first saw this I just felt like “I wonder if they at least ASKED the episode creators (or whatever it’s called) if they could use it” Because I mean that’s basically another type of plagiarism… although they’re not using it as they’re own, they are using resources (which I respect) but some people didn’t make good use of it. For example in the sixth one you can clearly see the episode characters. ALSO no hate towards the creators because they really did good jobs with this and stuff but like… yeah.
P.S- if you guys don’t know this is gacha life just coming out last year created by luni (she has multiple gach apps check them out) and episode was out in 2014 BUT I don’t want it to replace episode because that’s lowkey what I feel like is happening What do you guys think?

Wow, took a very long time for someone to actually NOTICE EPISODE BACKGROUNDS in gacha vidoes. lol It’s EVERYWHERE! XDDDD I was like, okay they are using episode bgs, and Im like…okay. XDDDD
Tbh, if they KNEW about episode, then they would have asked to used their bgs, but maybe they searched it up and just used it without knowing who it belongs to or maybe others see others using these bgs and decided to do the same.
For example: a gacha would use the a song for their intro and outro next thing u know, MORE gacha users are doing the same. lol
tbh, their work are really amazing! It’s ashame that some gachatubers are leaving because of COPPA but using episode bg are kinda pretty cool because it makes it stand out (in my opinion), gacha have their own bgs, yes they do, but ik gacha users want to use more than that, to add to their videos, but ik it still MAYBE require permission to use, im not soooo sure but they could ask the team first before using.
Im noticing also that they are using the communty episode edited backgrounds as well, soooooooooo yep, need permission I guess. @MinaMy4531
Yeah, I saw many but tonight I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed it bc… I didn’t wanna be alone jk but yeah they do have the rights to use them bc it’s not like its “illegal” or something they won’t go to states of banning their videos or anything And I agree with what you said about them leaving because I think i’m becoming addicted to a second story app
Yeah, the art is excellent, but sadly, this video is most likely a copyright violation. I have my doubts that Episode would let someone else use their backgrounds.

If the Youtube creator is profiting, and they likely are, from using Episode’s art, it’s a violation. Whether Episode will react is on them. We’re in a kind of “Wild West” era of the internet, where copyright claims aren’t enforced as strongly as they could be.
Yeah true but I don’t think the gachatubers really are using it against Episode to like steal their claim, its just like they are using their resources like I said, but once again as you said it is completely up to Episode if they react but Its been going on for a while now so I don’t seeeeee why they would now… and not before
Episode might not have noticed, or they might not want to be “that company” that sues a small creator over copyright infringement because of chibi anime drawings lmao. Is it a violation, yes. Does Episode have bigger fish to fry, I’d hope so lol.
