This isn’t about directing but what does a beta reader mean? Forgive me I’m new here and I don’t completely understand this term.
If it’s not for directing, you can put it in the share feedback or find a writing partner forum please
A beta reader is someone who will read your chapters before they’re published, proofread for grammar and spelling errors and give you feedback on the story.
Thank you so much!
Oops okay, will do from now on.
I understand now
Moved to Share Feedback since this is about beta reading. Make sure to check out our Forum Tutorial for more info about creating topics, and feel free to PM me if you’ve got questions.
But where do we get beta readers from? and how are they different from proofreaders?
Betas and proofreaders are very similar. The only difference is proofreaders will generally only look at things like spelling, grammar, syntax, etc., wheras betas look at everything like plot and character development, as well as spelling and grammatical issues. You can find betas and proofreaders on the Share Feedback forum.
