Tip: Conversion between Main Positions to Spots

Exactly what the title says!

I will convert the main positions into their spots. You can also test it out by writing their position and seeing what the numerical values for their spot placement is. Anyways, here I go:

Generic code without spot directing:
@CHARACTER stands POSITION

Generic code with spot directing:
@CHARACTER spot % X Y

The background positions:
back far left = spot 0.840 55 215
back left = spot 0.840 120 215
back right = spot 0.840 210 215
back far right = spot 0.840 275 215

The foreground positions:
screen left = spot 1.280 50 0
screen right = spot 1.280 270 0
screen center = spot 1.280 160 0
upscreen right = spot 1.280 220 0
upscreen left = spot 1.280 100 0

Example:
@CHARACTER stands back far right
is the same thing as writing:
@CHARACTER spot 0.840 275 215

Another Example:
@CHARACTER stands upscreen left
is the same thing as writing:
@CHARACTER spot 1.280 100 0

…and so forth. It’s a pattern : )

*Tested using limelight though it should yield the same results for ink ^^

It’s interesting, the positions are only 110 … pixels (?) apart :joy:

It was all planned out accordingly :smirk: :blob_hearts:

This chart helps give a visual (you can see screen center):
