Oh gosh, I’m feeling old at the age of 17. It was almost 6 years ago that I started high school and now I am in my first year of college
First of all, congratulations! You’ll start a new, exciting chapter in your life towards your future goal
- The most important thing of all is; BE YOURSELF! Of course you are nervous, it’s a whole other life. Everybody is nervous, so you are definitely not the only one. Grab your courage and just go talk to classmates who seem nice! Everyone is searching for new friends
- Go to your classes, make your homework and learn for your tests. If you are already being a rebel in the first year, there’s a great chance the teachers (and maybe even some classmates) will not take you seriously anymore and think about the effects for the next years!
- Don’t be afraid to seek help if you do not understand anything.
- It’s okay if it sometimes is too much for you. I knew a sweet girl who was also in her first year and she was stressed out, because EVERYTHING had to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be perfect for the first time and it’s okay if it too much for you to handle. Go talk with your loved ones and teachers about it. I’m sure they will help you!
- You’ll be in highschool. You’ll be (young) adults. We all know they do stuff that not always is the best choice. Don’t do anything you don’t want to do!
- HAVE FUN!
I wish you the best of luck, you can do it
