Tired of Generic Features

I hate it when people use the tanned colors to show mean girls. I have naturally tanned skin, and it’s so irritating seeing all the mean girls. I don’t know if I’m being an idiot or not, but is it just me, or are south asians never in stories? I read a story where this guy was indian and the author gave him a rubbishly awful accent with all the typing. I hate it when authors have a token black and lesbian best friend. Give her a fricking personality. (I apologise for my language.)

No need to apologize. I agree though. It’s annoying.

Literally ppl giving white character full lips and making dark character have the small lips
Yeah some light skin people have full lips but it’s a constant thing with giving darker skin smaller lips

I recently changed my details because ugh I was using the details for accessories.

The button nose on ink males bothers me now :joy: I love Roman noses or strong

They’re trying to get into their inner beauty guru with excessive lip fillers.

(From left to right!) Essence and Rose. I hope they’re not too generic, lol. I like to make my characters attractive. And also try not to make every character attractive, as I feel it’s unrealistic. They’re both side characters, though.

Edit: Oh, and BTW… not all black people have huge lips and huge noses. I’ve seen so many black people with different and diverse features. My Essence is based off of someone I know in real life, actually. They’re both so beautiful.

They’re not. The second one with full lips kinda does but not eh. It’s different

Glad to know, lol. Is it just the lips? Those are actually the ones that I like the most. Since her features are so big and eccentric (eyes and eyebrows) I feel like the lips are an extra touch.

Yeah because people tend to use those lips a lot on white characters and it just gets annoying from time to time.

True. She isn’t white though, so I guess that’s different. I can’t even see those lips on a white person.

i’m so sick of the generic eyes, full heart pouty, rose or copper skin tones, button upturned nose. UGH.

Oh, well then it is different. :see_no_evil: I thought she wasn’t white but I didn’t want you to get upset for saying it. She seemed Hispanic in my eyes.

Oh my gosh yess, it’s so annoying in stories but I mean I do have thicker lips for a half white half Mexican girl but the only one that looks right to me is the full round and the other ones look nothing like my lips :joy: so I’m stuck with it and my eyes are pretty close to what Upturned Feline looks like I mean, if you want me to, I can send you a picture of me in PM for proof so I dont trigger you because I dont wanna trigger you :joy:

She’s Latina.

I wouldn’t have gotten offended, considering I’m not white myself. I barely have any white characters, really. I think I have like… two? I’m gonna make more of all races and backgrounds. I love customizing characters.

I’m glad.

Although, a lot of what you mentioned in your second comment is what she is customized with. I guess she just looks better. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

It does trigger me though seeing unrealistic features of a character of POC and very unrealistic features on a white person like you can tell the story was made by an author who is white who dont know their facts. :skull:
