I’m not a social media fan tbh. I hate Instagram so im not sure about having an episode one but would it still be seen even if i don’t make an Instagram?
Sure. @amberose didn’t have an IG for ages and accumulated quite a few reads on her stories. So it’s possible. You can always advertise on the forums and do read-for-reads. I don’t usually recommend those, but sometimes those read-for-readers might turn into genuine readers who will continue reading your story.
I just think it’s harder.
If I didn’t have an IG and hadn’t announced my story, I might still have 10 reads lol.
Whenever I update the story and announce it, I get a huge spike in reads from people who follow me. Without IG, people would actually need to go into the app to see.
The thing is i don’t have a fan base on episode to start my own episode Instagram account. So i wouldn’t know who to follow or interact with introvert problems
Oh I completely get that too. When I first released a story, it took me over 2 weeks to get 100 reads (they were all read-for-reads) and I basically did follow-for-follow on IG with Episode accounts so they weren’t true followers/readers. But eventually I made friends just through interactions and my second story did really well (contest winner) so I built a following from that.
It’s ok! It can be discouraging.
As I said before, it took me a long time to get reads.
(and what I have is barely anything compared to some of the people in this thread, lol)
Really offtopic, right now, (sorry, but not sorry ) but:
I guess I am one of your readers…
I loved your story ‘Relentless’… So, I don’t get it…
@Kirsten18
You are not a terrible writer… (I know that, because you can expres what you feel right, now, over here in this topic…) It only takes a while for some readers to find your story…
Best advice is: Show your story on instagram and maybe on Facebook or other media…
Don’t forget to update your story once in a while and don’t forget to update your media sources, too…
